There has been a long-running joke relating Yuzvendra Chahal‘s wife, Dhanashree Verma, to India star batter Shreyas Iyer. A similar incident took shape recently when Shreyas Iyer appeared in Dhanashree’s Instagram story. Notably, the two are often photographed together, leading to fans trolling Chahal on a regular basis; the same happened this time as well.

The cricket player posed with his sister Srestha Iyer, a dancer and choreographer like Dhanashree, for a group portrait. According to their original Instagram posts, the group attended an Iftaar celebration during the current Ramzan. Dhanashree posted the image with the caption: “My cuties,” with a face-blowing kiss and a heart emoji.

Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of IPL 2023

Due to a back issue that has bothered him continuously since December, Shreyas Iyer has been disqualified from the 2023 IPL. Moreover, the right-handed batsman is most likely unavailable for the upcoming June 7 Test Championship final between India and Australia at the Oval in London.

Following India’s tour of Bangladesh in December, the 28-year-old first felt pain. After that, he skipped the home series against New Zealand and the opening test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.

The Mumbai batsman came back to participate in the second and third Tests but could not bat in the fourth Test, which ended in a tie despite his fielding for two days. Shreyas will travel abroad for the procedure, according to ESPNCricinfo, and is predicted to be sidelined for at least three months.

Nitish Rana is in charge of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2023 while Iyer is out. After Shakib Al Hasan withdrew from the competition owing to personal and international obligations, KKR purchased Jason Roy as a replacement. With a strike rate of 137.61 and 1522 runs scored in 64 T20 Internationals for England, the 32-year-old has eight half-centuries to his credit. The daring batsman paid the franchise Rs 2.8 crore to sign up.
