Babar Azam-led Pakistan team has made it to the semi-finals of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 following a surprising turnaround of things in the form of South Africa’s defeat at the hands of the minnows like the Netherlands on Sunday, 6th of November. Following that, the men in green took on Bangladesh in a virtual quarter-final to secure their berth into the knockouts of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the former legendary was also in the headlines of social media for his blunt statements while analyzing the game of Babar’s men in the marquee tournament. Shoaib stunned the Indo-Pak cricketing fraternity with his remarks in the initial phase of the tournament following Pakistan’s two-consecutive defeats against India and the minnows like Zimbabwe. Although the former speedster had to eat back his words after the entry of both India and Pakistan in the semi-finals of the eighth edition of the tournament.

Subsequently, Shoaib has recently come up with a video on his official Twitter handle. In the video, the 47-year-old can be seen in an interaction with some of the Pak fans where the fans are expressing their thoughts with some pieces of advice for Pakistani skipper Babar Azam ahead of the team’s clash with Kane Williamson-led New Zealand in the first semi-final of the tournament.

Speaking of Pakistan’s run in the tournament, they were initially on the edge of being knocked out from the tournament after two successive defeats against India and Zimbabwe. But the scenario changed completely for the men in green in the later part of the tournament as the Netherlands unexpectedly defeated the South Africans in their last super-4 match of the 20-20 World Cup.

During their last clash against Bangladesh, Babar & co. managed to cross the line while chasing a target of 128 runs. 2009 20-20 World Cup Champion won the virtual knockout draw against Bangladesh by a margin of five wickets to confirm their spot in the semi-finals of the 2022 edition of the 20-20 World Cup.
