On 25 July 2023, the Texas Super Kings (TKS) locked horns with San Francisco Unicorns (SF) in the 14th match of the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) in Morrisville. Both teams were looking for a win to seal their place in the playoffs. However, it was TSK who managed a three-wicket win over SF.

Daniel Sams won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. But, from that match, a video went viral where SF’s Shadab Khan was seen producing a magical delivery to dismiss TSK’s Mitchell Santner. Seeing that, fans went crazy and heaped praises for the star Pakistan all-rounder.

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 14th over of TSK’s innings. On the first delivery, Shadab bowled a googly and it completely bamboozled the Kiwi all-rounder. Shadab squared him up and the ball hit the top of the off stumps. Santner was left absolutely stunned as he got out on just seven runs off nine balls. Speaking of the match, SF skipper, Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bat first.
They scored 171 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, TSK chased down the target in 19.1 overs with three wickets in hand. Daniel Sams was the star with both the bat and the ball. He took two wickets while scoring valuable 42 runs off just 18 balls, including two fours and four sixes. TSK’s Gerald Coetzee also had a good outing as he picked up four wickets for 31 runs.
With this win, TSK are now in the second spot and sealed their berth in the playoffs. After the win, skipper, Faf du Plessis said: “It was an incredible game. This league is made for players like that, a lot of players in that situation may have not played like that. (Milind) he showed great composure. That partnership was vital for us. It's nice to have a win like that leading into the playoffs, gives you a lot of confidence, we are looking forward to (playoffs). We will keep an eye on the game tomorrow.”
