Pandya scored 71 while Pant registered his maiden ODI hundred, and went on to hit the winning runs as well. After the game, the team was supposed to pose for a photo with the series trophy. However, instead of doing the same, the players got so excited that they opened the champagne and started spraying it on each other. The prime target of this activity was skipper Rohit Sharma.

The other managed to escape but Sharma was the one who was drenched in champagne. The other players stopped the activity and returned to the podium. However, Pant had other ideas and continued where others left. Reacting to this, Sharma started yelling at the wicketkeeper batter as the latter was interrupting the photography session with the trophy.
