In a major blow for team India, skipper Rohit Sharma has been reported of sustaining an injury in the forearm during a session in the nets just ahead of a very crucial match for of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Subsequently, the 35-year-old has to come out of the training to the sidelines of the nets before he returned.
Speaking of the incident, Rohit was in a throwdown session with the Indian team’s expert S Raghu at Adelaide where India will lock horns in the semi-finals of the eighth edition of the tournament. Notably, the men in blue will take on the three lions on the 10th of November followed by the first semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand.
Coming back to Rohit Sharma, he sustained an injury while trying his favorite pull shot on a short ball jumped off the length, and struck the right-hander at the forearm for the right hand. There are also the speculations that the skipper might miss the most-important clash against the English team in their run for the title of the 20-20 World Cup 2022.
Although Sharma resumed training, but he tried only defensive shots to check the intensity of strain.

Notably, it is the first time in the last 35 years that India will are playing against England since the last encounter between both teams in the 1987 World Cup semi-final at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
Speaking of the India team’s journey in the ongoing edition of the 20-20 World Cup so far, they have won four matches out of the five they played so far in the super-12 round of the tournament.
In the last match against Zimbabwe, India outplayed the Zimbabweans by a massive margin of 71 runs to finish the Group 2 points table as the table toppers. On the other hand, Pakistan also got a surprising entry to the knockouts following a shocking turnaround of events in the form of South Africa's defeat against the minnows like Netherlands.
