After India’s exit, a video has surfaced on the internet where the players can be seen playing cat and mouse with the spider cam during the pre-match practice. The video begins with Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik and Paddy Upton quietly standing as the spider cam comes near them. Within a few seconds, they all run towards it in an attempt to catch hold of the cam but the cameraman takes it away.

Next, Yuzvendra Chahal is seen ordering the camera to come down and then he puts an arm around it asking it to join their group. Despite his numerous requests, the cameraman doesn’t budge as Chahal gives up. The next target was Suryakumar Yadav who walks a few steps forward to also catch hold of the camera but the cameraman once again took it away from the batter.

After a great start to their Asia Cup Campaign, the team lost against Pakistan in the Super 4s stage in a close encounter. India further failed to seal a win in the do-or-die game against Sri Lanka in their second match of the Super 4s stage. The loss meant that India had to rely on Pakistan to lose their next two games for them to have a chance to qualify for the finals. However, Afghanistan’s loss against Pakistan in the thrilling match meant that India were knocked out of the tournament without playing the finals.

After their disappointing run in the Asia Cup, team India will look to fill the glaring holes in the team combination in the upcoming series against Australia and South Africa. Ravichandran Ashwin was also considered over the wrist spinner Ravi Bishnoi who has been kept in the reserves.
