Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer has recently talked about the out-of-form Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant and skipper Rohit Sharma. He went on to say that the fans and team can enjoy watching the best out of the 24-year-old at the top order. He also picked up the top five batters to play in the order for team India.

Jaffer’s list includes the likes of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and star batter Suryakumar Yadav at number five. While talking about the change in the opening pair, the former right-hander said in his tweet:
"I still think opening the inns is where we could see the best of Pant in T20. Provided Rohit is ok to bat @ 4. MS took a punt on Rohit before CT in 2013, and the rest is history. Time for Rohit to take a punt on Pant. KL, Pant, VK, Rohit, and Sky would be my top five. #INDvAUS #T20WC.”
Jaffer’s statement also matters for Pant as he had a very outing in the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2022. The southpaw failed to deliver both with the bat and behind the wickets as well for the team in the 15th edition of the continental tournament.
