Indian Cricket fans will be upbeat as Rishabh Pant resumes batting practice. There were reports saying that he would comeback in 2024.

In very heartening news for Indian fans, a video of Rishabh Pant doing batting practice is creating a storm on social media. The Delhi batter was seen going through the drills at the ground and he also thrilled the fans with some wonderful strokes. The fans cheered in unison when they saw him get back on the field. The fans will hope Pant can come back to the international stage and dominate like he used to.

Recently, a report from Sports Today stated that Pant could be in line to make an India comeback in the 5 Test match series against England which will be held in 2024. The 25-year-old last played a Test match for India against Bangladesh in 2022 before he met with a horrific accident when he was driving from Delhi to Roorkee.

Pant sustained multiple injuries and had to undergo surgery for his knee. Pant has been under the care of Dr Dinshaw Padiwala since February 2023 and then there were videos of Pant circulated on social media that showed him gymmming and also climbing up the stairs. The India cricketer had thanked the doctors for their help in giving him what he called a 'second birth'.

When it comes to Test Cricket, the left-hander has scored 2271 runs at an average of 43.67 and at a strike rate of 73.63. He has hit five centuries and 11 fifties. The 25-year-old has smashed centuries in England and Australia. There were some reports circulating that Pant could make it to the ODI World Cup squad but then it was seen as not possible.

In IPL 2023, Pant managed to catch a few games of the Delhi Capitals (DC) playing at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Ricky Ponting the DC head coach had said that he wanted Pant to be beside him in the dugout. After the 2020 IPL, Pant became captain of the DC franchise and took over from Shreyas Iyer. DC in 2022, did not have the best of seasons under David Warner as they finished ninth on the IPL points table.
