Notably, 2023 might be the last season of the cash-rich T20 league for the 41-year-old. The two World Cup-winning skipper had already hanged his boots in international cricket in the year 2020.

In a recent line of events, the Indian Cricket Board has finalized the name of 405 players for the mini-auction in Kochi. Talking about the initial updates on the list of players, 369 cricketers were selected for the auction by 10 teams from the initial list of 991 individuals. Later on, 36 more players made it to the list at a request from the teams.
So now, there are 405 names to feature in the upcoming auction for the 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League.
Out of these 405 shortlisted cricketers, the number of Indian names is 273. Whereas on the other hand, 132 foreign cricketers are there on the list of players who will go under the hammer.
Speaking of the 132 foreign players, 4 belong to the associate teams.
