Meanwhile, there came a question during the pre-match press conference that left the Pakistan skipper uncomfortable, and he felt the need for intervention from the Pakistan media manager Ibrahim Badees.

As both England and Pakistan have previously won the 20-20 World Cup one time each time so both will be eyeing to win the title for the second time.

Coming back to the discomforting question for Babar Azam in the pre-match PC, a journalist happened to ask the 28-year-old about the Participation of the Pakistani players in the Indian T20 League. Subsequently, the journalist asked if Babar would hope for the betterment of diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan.

This question made Babar speechless, and he turned towards Pakistan media manager Ibrahim who was standing to his right side in the press conference.

Here’s the video of when Babar Azam went clueless:

Responding to the situation, the media manager went on to clarify that Babar was there only to take questions regarding the final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 against England.

Notably, Pakistan players are not participating in the Indian T20 League since 2009 when political tensions and turbulence were at a peak between India and Pakistan. It all happened in the aftermath of the Terror attacks on the 26th of November in 2008. Indian state happened to accuse the Islamic Republic of Pakistan of the terror attacks that shook the Indian citizens.

Furthermore, both country haven’t played any bilateral Test series since then, although they have played against each other in some of the major international tournaments.
