Sri Lanka and Pakistan are locking horns with each other in the title clash of the 15th edition of the Asia Cup. Pakistani skipper Babar won the toss and asked the Sri Lankans to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Batting first, the Islanders couldn’t start well as they lost their first wicket only on the score of two runs.

He stunned everyone with his amazing delivery to Sri Lankan batter Danushka Gunathilaka when he get him on the first ball of the sixth over with a blazing speed of 151 kmph.

Talking about the match, then the Sri Lankan team was looking in trouble when they lost their five wickets only on the score of 58 runs in 8.5 overs. But the amazing knock of 71 runs off just 45 balls with six boundaries and three sixes from Bhanuka Rajapaksa and supporting effort of 36 runs off 21 balls from Wanindu Hasaranga helped the Lankan tigers to post a decent total of 170 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Rawalpindi-born pacer Haris Rauf ended up as the highest wicket-taker with three wickets for Pakistan by conceding 29 runs in his quota of four overs.

Earlier in the Asia Cup 2022, both teams locked horns with each other in the last match of the super-4 round of the tournament. Sri Lankan completely outplayed the men in the green and registered a win by five wickets to record their fourth consecutive win in the tournament.
