Shamar Joseph steals the show with the ball –

Young West Indian pacer Shamar Joseph was the big reason why Brian Lara got emotional on Sunday. After getting his toe injured late on Saturday, there were doubts if the pace bowler will play on Sunday.

After picking just one wicket in the first innings, Shamar Joseph decided to script history on Sunday. From 113/2, Shamar Joseph decimated the Australian batting to 171/7 with his inspired bowling. The 24-year-old even touched late 140 KPH during his spell in Brisbane.

Cameron Green was his first victim as the young Aussie was bowled for 42. The very next ball Travis Head found his stumps disturbed to fall for a first-ball duck. This was the second time in the game Head was out for a golden duck.

Mitchell Marsh came out and played two crisp shots for four but Joseph’s bouncer had his man for 10. Alex Carey, who scored 65 in the first innings was bowled through his gate for two.

This got Mitchell Starc to the crease and the pace bowler responded with four amazing boundaries. Just when it looked like the Aussies were making a comeback, Shamar Joseph struck again. Mitchell Starc was out for 21 and Pat Cummins was caught by Joshua Da Silva for two.

All the onus fell on Steve Smith who was battling the hostile bowlers but the match was soon over. Alzarri Joseph decided to join in the fun and get Nathan Lyon for 9. The elation arrived 17 balls later as Shamar Joseph knocked over Josh Hazlewood for a duck. West Indies had won their first Test in Australia for 27 years.
