The tragic demise of Shane Warne took the world by storm. On March 4, the legendary cricketer died due to a suspected heart attack while in Thailand. He was over there for a holiday with his family.
Thus, when the news of him passing away broke out, not only the cricketing fraternity but the entire sporting world was shocked. Many legendary sports athletes expressed their grief over the same. However, a recent tribute to Warne during a football game has managed to win everyone's heart.
During a game between Adelaide United and Newcastle Jets, George Blackwood gave a heartwarming tribute top Warne after scoring a goal. He scored this stunner just three minutes into the game.

Once he found the back of the net, Blackwood held the ball and bowled a delivery, emulating Shane Warne. The video of him doing the same instantly went viral. People from all over the world appreciated him for his tribute.

"I loved Shane Warne growing up. I bowled leggies so a bit of a tribute to him," said Blackwood during the half-time of the match, as quoted by The Sporting News. After this, his side won the game by 2-1. The Adelaide United have been in superb form of late. They have won three out of their last four games.
As for Warne, his funeral will be conducted on March 30, at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). He is arguably one of the greatest bowlers of all time. The legendary leggie picked 708 Test wickets and 293 ODI wickets. During his time, he was one of Australia's key players.
