With the ODI World Cup coming up in 2023, the Indian cricket team is expected to have a significant year. Since their victory at home in 2011 for the World Cup, the Men in Blue haven't claimed a major title. Prior to the World Cup, the Indian team will play 15 ODI matches and an Asia Cup in an effort to prepare for the championship.

Meanwhile, legendary West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle has picked up his two key players for the Indian team in the upcoming ODI World Cup. Gayle believes that speedster Jasprit Bumrah and the no. 1 T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav will play a big role in the major world event. However, many fans have reacted to his views and given their opinion as well.

Bumrah is currently recovering from an injury, but given his excellent skills and abilities as a speed bowler, his return to the Indian cricket squad will be extremely significant. It was felt when he was absent from the previous T20 International encounter between India and Pakistan, and his potential inclusion in the upcoming games is eagerly anticipated. Bumrah is an important member of the team since he gives India's bowling attack more strength and depth.

Gayle also talked about his former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) partner Virat Kohli who recently gained his form back in the white ball format and said that Kohli is mentally very tough and believes that the veteran Indian batter will be dominating in the major tournament. 

"Tough times don't last long tough players last longer. Virat is tough mentally as well physically. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't go to this World Cup and dominate. As players, we always go through phases where things seem a bit dull and you need positive energy around to uplift yourself. Once we get back in the groove, we know how dangerous we can be," he added.
