Team eventually scored 284 all-out, mostly thanks to the Jonny Bairstow's knock. Former Indian batter, Virender Sehwag blamed Virat Kohli for helping England to post such a score. He pointed out how the latter's words riled up the 2019 World Cup winner and didn't benefit India.

"Strike Rate before Kohli's Sledging -: 21. Post Sledging - 150. Pujara ki tarah khel rahe thhey, Kohli ne Pant banwa diya bewajah sledge karke (He was playing like Pujara, Kohli turned him into Pant with his unnecessary sledging)," Sehwag had tweeted during Bairstow's knock.

In reply, a Twitter user asked Sehwag whether he would have made the same statement had Yorkshire player had gotten out after sledging.

In reply, Sehwag stated that he would have tweeted in favour of Virat Kohli if that had happened.

Talking about the game, the world number two Test side got the lead of 132 at the end of first innings. At the time of writing, they are ahead in the game by 366 runs with two wickets left. Cheteshwar Pujara scored a fifty while Rishabh Pant, who scored a hundred in the first innings, followed up with a half century.

Shreyas Iyer once again bounced out in the game and it is a growing concern with every opposition in the world attacking him with the short ball. Currently, Ravindra Jadeja and skipper Jasprit Bumrah are batting together and would be looking to take the lead past 400 runs and more.
