Although they are yet to win their maiden title, Punjab will be confident of winning it this time around. 1) Mayank Agarwal:

Mayank Agarwal was Punjab's first retention ahead of the mega auction. Not only has he been representing the franchise since 2018, but he has also been one of their most consistent performers. As he's relatively young, he can be a long-term captaincy option for the Punjab-based franchise. Besides, the Karnataka batter has already led the franchise in the past.

Shikhar Dhawan seems the ideal option to lead the team. Not only has he been in superb form of late, but he is a veteran and has enough experience of leading teams. The opener had led India on a few occasions as well. As Dhawan has been playing for a really long time, he would be aware of the tactics of a lot of opposition captains. Last but not the least, he was leading Hyderabad in 2014. Although he was far from impressive back then, he has matured with age, and has seemingly got a good cricket brain as well.

3) Jonny Bairstow:

As Punjab spent a lot of money in order to acquire the services of Jonny Bairstow, he could very well be their new captain. Despite not having any experience as a leader, the keeper-batter's aggressive mentality might prompt the team management to give him the added responsibility. Besides, as he's a gloveman, he gets a clear view of the batter, and that can help him set the field.
