The ODI World Cup year has arrived which is going to be very crucial for both the players and their fans. Speaking of the Indian team, they won the last 50-over World Cup 11 years back in the year 2011 under the captaincy of former legendary skipper MS Dhoni. Since then, India could make it through to the knockouts but failed to reach the final of the tournament.

As the World Cup is scheduled almost at the end of 2023 in the month of November, Indian team management has a bit of time to finalize the perfect XI for the marquee tournament in their own backyard.

Although the management is still making experiments in the limited-overs assignments by giving a lot of chances to the players.

Meanwhile, former World Cup winner batter and hero of two World Cup finals, Gautam Gambhir has come up with a piece of advice for the Indian team management.

The former southpaw felt that the Indian team should play with their core team and no breaks should be there for the senior players considering the preparations for the ODI World Cup 2023.

"Indian core team should play together in ODI, don't take breaks in 2023,” said Gambhir in his recent statement.

Following this statement from the 41-year-old, the fans also came up with divided opinions. A big section of the Indian cricket fans went on to agree with the former Delhi opener. On the other hand, a few other fans felt that Indian management is not going to do this as they might stick to their current strategy of making changes and doing a lot of experiments in the team.
