A tweet from 2015 is now going viral, and fans, who are already against the skipper, are leaving no stone unturned to troll him. Earlier in May 2015, Babar, who was not the skipper then, had welcomed Zimbabwe with the tweet “Welcome zimbaway” when the country toured Pakistan for three ODIs and three T20Is. However, the mispronounced tweet is now going viral again and fans are taking a dig at the Pakistan captain for the same.

Here is the tweet:

Very disappointing performance: Babar

After the disappointing loss against Zimbabwe, the Men in Green batter said that he was disappointed and admitted to the poor display from the batters. Further, Babar said that the team had enough batting power and added that the openers let the team down.

“We would have taken 130 at the halfway stage. Very disappointing performance, we are not up to the mark in batting. We have good batters but both openers got out in the powerplay. When Shadab and Shan were building partnership, unfortunately Shadab got out and then back-to-back wickets that pushed us into pressure situation,” Babar said after the loss in the post-match interview.

“First 6 overs, we haven't used the new ball well but we finished well with the ball. We will sit out, discuss our mistakes and we will train hard and come back strong in our next game,” said the captain further.

As it stands, Babar and his men will testify against Netherlands on Sunday and it will be a crucial encounter for both teams. Netherlands, on the other hand, would look to make a statement to the world and would aim to defeat Pakistan to clinch their first-ever win of the Super 12 stages.

As it stands, let us take a look at a few hilarious replies to Babar’s tweet from 2015:
