'Thank God he is not there' - Indian fans relieved as Richard Kettleborough not in list of officials for semi-final against England

The ongoing edition of the 20-20 World Cup has now reached its end as four teams namely New Zealand, England, India, and Pakistan have reached through to the semi-finals of the eighth edition of the tournament. Speaking of the itinerary of the knockouts, Pakistan will lock horns with Kane Williamson’s New Zealand followed by the second semi-final between India and England at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.

Meanwhile, cricket’s governing body has announced the list of elite panel umpires who will be there in action to officiate in the knockouts of the marquee tournament.

Renowned English umpire Richard Kettleborough is set to officiate in the first semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. So, his absence from the second semi-final between India and England has arrived as good news for the Indian fans and they are relieved of it.

Recalling an unfortunate chronology for the Indian team, Richard has been an official in all the knockout matches of the major international tournaments where India lost and got eliminated from the tournament. Subsequently, Indian fane felt that the absence of Ketts is quite assuring to see the Indian team in the final of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. Following the announcement of officials from the governing body of cricket, Indian fans immediately took to Twitter for coming up with their reactions on the same.
