On 20 June 2023, Zimbabwe locked horns with the Netherlands in the ODI World Cup qualifier at Harare. The World Cup is all set to take place in India later this year. So, teams are busy playing in this tournament in order to grab two places for the event. Zimbabwe won their first game against Nepal. While it was the first game for the Dutch. So, the home side were looking to continue their momentum while the Netherlands were looking for a win also.

But, during the match, an image went viral where a fan got spotted watching the game from the stands while holding a CSK jersey. He seemed to be a fan of MS Dhoni also as his name was written on that jersey. Seeing that, fans of Chennai Super Kings went crazy and came up with some tweets to praise the fandom Dhoni has all over the world.

Speaking of the match, Zimbabwe skipper, Craig Ervine won the toss and opted to field first. For the Netherlands, Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd came ut as openers. They put up a 120-run partnership for the first wicket in 20.2 overs. O’Dowd scored 59 runs off 67 balls, including 10 fours. Vikramjit also scored 88 runs off 111 balls, including nine fours. He and skipper, Scott Edwards put up a partnership of 96 runs for the third wicket. 

Edwards scored 83 runs off 72 balls, including eight fours. Then, for the sixth wicket, Edwards and Saqib Zulfiqar put up a partnership of 59 runs. Zulfiqar remained not out on 34* runs off 31 balls, including two fours and one six. Thus, they scored 315 runs for six wickets in 50 overs. For Zimbabwe, Sikandar Raza was the star of the show as he took four wickets for 55 runs in 10 overs. Apart from him, Richard Ngarava grabbed two wickets for 40 runs in nine overs, including two maidens.
