Pakistan Super League's (PSL) latest pace sensation Ihsanullah has put the domestic stage on fire playing for Multan Sultans. The 20-year-old has 12 scalps from five games and is the leading wicket-taker of the PSL 2023. Ihsanullah's bold messages for India's pacer Umran Malik made headlines earlier. This time, his comments were not for some new face in Indian Cricket but for the star face of cricket in India, Virat Kohli.

"Virat Kohli is my target; I will be really happy to take Virat's wicket against India. I hope to get a chance to play for Pakistan," said the 20-year-old. If the youngster continues to impress in the ongoing edition of the PSL, there are chances for him to make it into the Pakistan squad for the upcoming tournaments – Asia Cup and the World Cup, primarily. That can assure him of a much-anticipated clash against India.

'Will try to break Umran's record, pushing for 160 kmph' – Ihsanullah

Multan Sultan's latest find, Ihsanullah, has caught the attention of fans and pundits after registering impressive figures of 5/12 in his quota of four overs in a PSL game against Quetta Gladiators. The speedster recorded a pace above 150 kmph in his first game while dismissing the Gladiators' captain Sarfaraz Ahmed. After the match, former Pakistan allrounder Abdul Razzaq –a part of the selection committee that picked Ihsanullah for the home tests against New Zealand – claimed that he has the potential to break the 160kph pace barrier.

The youngster has now come up with a bold message for his Indian rival, Umran Malik, reacting to Razzaq's statement. “Inshallah, koshish karunga. Umran Malik ne jo 157kph pe ball kiya hai, main koshish karunga uss se upar karunga. Umran Malik se upar karunga, 160 karunga. (God willing, I will try. Umran Malik had recorded 157kph; I will try to break his record. I will be aiming for the 160kph mark)," Ihsanullah said.
