On 5 May 2023, Rajasthan Royals (RR) locked horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) at their home ground in the ongoing IPL. But, RR failed to win the game in front of the home crowd as GT thrashed them by nine wickets. While batting first, Sanju Samson’s team had a batting collapse and got bundled out for just 118 runs.

So, fans were not happy with the batters. But, Riyan Parag had a chance to score big for his team. But, again, he failed to deliver, and that made fans angry at him. With this failure, Parag has now scored only 58 runs in six matches this season at an average of 11.60. Now, after the match, the RR batter came up with a cryptic tweet and fans slammed him again on the social media platform.

Speaking of the tweet, Parag wrote: “Waqt acha ho ya bura Guzar he jata hai!” (“Time good or bad, it passes by”). In IPL 2022, RR bought him back for INR 3.8 Cr. He is in RR since the IPL 2019 and the franchise have always backed him despite his poor run of form over all these years. However, he had a poor season by scoring 183 runs in 17 matches, at an average of 16.64. With the ball, he picked up only one wicket. But, fans were hoping to score him big this time around as Riyan Parag had a fantastic domestic season coming to this IPL. 

In the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Parag scored 253 runs at a strike rate of 165.35. But, till now, he has failed to deliver and fans are not happy with that. However, it was not the first time when this RR batter has come up with a tweet. Before IPL, he tweeted: “My inner conscience says I’m hitting 4 sixes in an over at some point this IPL.” But, at that time also fans slammed him brutally for such a comment ahead of the tournament.
