The final of the Women’s 20-20 World Cup is all set to take place on 26 February 2023. However, India Women’s team’s journey came to an end in the semi-final against Australia Women’s team. Now, the Aussies will take on the host, South Africa Women’s team in Cape Town. But, Indian fans were disappointed as it was another heartbreaking moment for Harmanpreet Kaur and her women.

Harmanpreet Kaur put up a great fight in that clash during the chase. She scored 52 runs off 34 balls, including six fours and one six. But, she got run out in a shocking way and now, regarding that, Allysa Healy opened up in a recent interview with ABC sport ahead of their final against the Proteas Women.

“Harmanpreet can say all she likes that it was so unlucky.” – Allysa Healy

During that interview, Allysa Healy said: “It’s kind of funny actually. Belinda Clarke messaged me and said, well done for taking the bails. And it’s quite an interesting one because I actually don’t take the bails a lot in that sort of scenario. I think it’s a waste of time and I’ve got to put them back on.”

“So, it’s annoying. But for some reason, I felt the need to take the bails off and it was like a bizarre moment where I looked at the umpire and said, I think that’s out. And I think Shooter at point was like. I also think that it’s out,” she added.

The Wicketkeeper of the Australia Women’s team also questioned Harmanpreet’s efforts during that run-out dismissal though the Indian skipper termed it as ‘unlucky’. “So, just a bizarre play. Harmanpreet can say all she likes that it was so unlucky. At the end of the day, she cruised back and probably could’ve been passed the crease, an extra two meters if she genuinely put in the effort. So, we’ll take it,” Allysa Healy concluded. After hearing such comments, fans went crazy and slammed the Australian wicketkeeper on the social media platform.
