Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan are blessed with a baby boy named Angad Jasprit Bumrah. "Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can't wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it  - Jasprit and Sanjana," Bumrah posted on X previously known as Twitter.

Bumrah was drafted into India's Asia Cup squad. The speedster was playing his first major tournament after injury. The Indian fans will be hoping that he will be in good stead right through the Asia Cup and also the 2023 World Cup which will be held at home. India have not won a World event since the 2013 Champions Trophy in England.

Jasprit Bumrah made a comeback to the Indian side in the T20I series against Ireland

Bumrah left the Asia Cup for personal reasons. Earlier reports said that he would miss the game against Nepal. But the India pacer is expected to be back for the Super Four stage. India's first game against Pakistan was abandoned due to rain. India and Pakistan got one point each. Pakistan were through to the Super Fours as they had three points from two games.

The right-arm pacer made a comeback into the Indian side for the T20I series against Ireland. Bumrah bowled well and also got the player of the match in the first T20I. The 29-year-old had been sidelined from cricket for a year due to a back injury. Bumrah missed the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the World Test Championship final against Australia and also the 2022 T20 World Cup.

India will lock horns against Nepal on September 4. The Men in Blue will want to get the full two points against them. They will hope that rain does not play spoilt sport during the game. The matches in Sri Lanka have been hit by inclement weather and reports say that the games in the Super Four stage are likely to get shifted.
