Babar Azam has failed to make a good start to the year 2023 as a skipper of Pakistan. First, they drew the second match of the two-match Test series against the Kiwis at home. Then, the Men in Green failed to win the ODI series at home against the same opponent. In 2022, Babar Azam had a forgettable year as the captain of Pakistan.

Pakistan fans were hoping to see their team sealing a place in the final of ongoing World Test Championship final. Before the home Test series against England and New Zealand, the Men in Green had the best chance. But, they lost four Tests consecutively at home. Thus, fans criticized Babar brutally for his captaincy abilities. 

Babar Azam is currently the ranked fourth batter in the shortest format of the game 

Meanwhile, Babar Azam became the first Pakistan skipper to have such an embarrassing record to his name in the history of Pakistan cricket. However, he failed in the shortest format of the game also in 2022. Fans were expecting a great show from him in the big tournaments like Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup. But, Babar Azam scored only 68 runs in six matches across the Asia Cup 2022. While, in the 20-20 World Cup, Babar scored 124 runs in 7 matches with an average of 17.71. But, it was the slow strike rate that made headlines, and fans slammed him. Even, they raised their voice to remove him from the 20-20 format. In that World Cup, he batted with a strike rate of just 93.23.

On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav has been a revolution for team India in T20Is. Currently, he is the rank one batter in the format while having a career strike rate of 175.76 along with an average of 46.52. He has already managed three centuries in this format. He is also famous for hitting shots in 360-degree angles, all around the field. Now, a video has gone viral where Babar Azam was seen hitting Suryakumar Yadav-like shots in nets. The video was shared with a caption: “Babar Azam, the new Mr 360 #cricket”. It seemed that the Pakistan skipper was being compared to the star Indian batter. But, fans came up and trolled him by saying that he only managed those shots as those balls were very slow.
