Everyone is on edge as we approach the final stages of the sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the current IPL 2023, things have radically changed for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). They were one of the favourites to make the playoffs after the first half of the competition. However, they lost ground in the second half, and it now seems difficult for them to qualify.

RCB still has 23% chance of making it to the IPL 2023 playoffs

They have only scored 10 points in the 11 games, placing them seventh in the points standings. Four clubs have been hit on the 10 points. Therefore RCB must put up a tremendous amount of work to guarantee themselves a berth in the playoffs. Their chances were damaged when they were humiliated by the Mumbai Indians.

The defeat by MI decreased RCB's prospects of making the postseason from 51% to 23%. However, they are still in with a shot, so they are not completely eliminated. RCB must now win all three of their remaining games; else, they will be effectively eliminated from playoff contention.

They will reach 16 points after the three victories. They not only need to win three games, but they also need to win them by a wide margin because it seems likely that NRR will enter the race. In order to continue competing, they must ensure that they win significantly.

There are currently three games left for RCB after 11 games played thus far. Before travelling to Hyderabad to play SRH, they will first face Rajasthan Royals. They will face Gujarat Titans at home to finish the league stage at home.
