Rinku Singh had a breakout season for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2023 as he scored 474 runs, at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.53 in 14 matches. His consistency and power-hitting abilities in crunch situations left everyone shell-shocked. So, fans were hoping for him to get a maiden call-up to Team India for the upcoming T20I series in West Indies.

However, the selectors did not consider him in the recently announced squad for that five-match series. Now, he shared an image of him visiting the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. He shared the image with a caption: “Hail Shri Banken Bihari Lal”. Along with him, others were Shivam Sharma, Ansh Dwivedi, Sparsh Jain, and one other. Seeing that, fans shared their views on social media.

Recently, he was a part of the Central Zone in the ongoing Duleep Trophy. But, in four innings, he scored only 132 runs. He even failed to cross the 50-run mark once. However, on 12 July, Team India will begin their tour of the West Indies with the first Test in Dominica. So, on the eve of that clash, skipper Rohit Sharma came up with an encouraging message for players like Rinku Singh and Sarfaraz Khan who missed out on a place from the squad of the Caribbean tour. Fans were not happy with Sarfaraz failing again to get a place in the Test squad.

While speaking to the reporters, Rohit said: "Obviously these names (Jaiswal and Gaikwad) are quite exciting for Indian cricket moving forward. You know they have put hard yards in domestic cricket and they have been rewarded for it. All these guys were in the radar, selectors were watching them closely and I am glad they have been rewarded. There are a couple of guys who have missed out. Unfortunately, you can only pick 15-16 players in the squad. But everyone's time will come. That is what I want to say". Meanwhile, some reports are there that Rinku might make his debut in the Ireland T20I series in August.
