Yash Dayal had a disappointing IPL 2023 for Gujarat Titans (GT) as he picked up only two wickets in five matches. Before the 2022 edition, GT bought him for whopping INR 3.2 Crores despite being an uncapped pacer. In that season, he impressed everyone by picking up 11 wickets in nine matches.
But, in this recently concluded season, Yash Dayal had a nightmare of a game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad where Rinku Singh smashed him five consecutive sixes in the last over to win the game. But, now, he came into the headlines for hurting the Muslim religion’s sentiments. Dayal came up with a post on his Instagram story in reference to the recent Delhi stabbing case where a 16-year-old girl, named Sakshi got allegedly killed as a 20-year-old man named Sahil stabbed her multiple times in New Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area, on 28 March 2023. Seeing such a story, fans went berserk and came up with mixed reactions.

Yash Dayal shared an apology and claimed the old story was posted mistakenly
However, he deleted that after some time as many fans started to spread hatred against him. Then, he shared an apology in the next story and wrote: “Guy’s apologise for the story it was just posted by mistake plz don’t spread hate Thank you I have respect for each & every community n society.” It was quite shocking to see him hurting the Muslim sentiments despite having so many Muslim teammates in GT.
He plays along with Mohammed Shami, Noor Ahmad, and Rashid Khan. Meanwhile, during the IPL 2023, Dayal lost reportedly 7-8 kgs weight as skipper Hardik Pandya claimed during a match. It was also claimed that the GT pacer was not doing well mentally as well as physically after that outrageous hitting by Rinku against him. However, he made a comeback in the closing stage of the tournament.

Pointing out hypocrisy is never a bad take. Yash Dayal is a scum based on that story and should be removed from IPL. And the other guy who posted the story is a racist/communal as well. Both can be true at the same time.
