'Shame on u' - Fans troll the veteran Indian journalist as he laughed on the anti-indian sentimental joke of Shahid Afridi

So, the stage is all set for the much-anticipated and high-voltage encounter between India and Pakistan. Both teams will be facing each other for the first time after the previous encounter in the T20 World Cup 2021. In that match, the Pakistani side defeated the Indians with a massive margin of 10 wickets. So, it is going to be a must-watch encounter for cricket fans from both sides.

Apart from the action on the field, controversies, statements, and various things other than the cricket make it to the headlines before any Indo-Pak clash in international cricket. Recently, a similar incident happened former legendary Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi was speaking on a joint show of two channels, Aaj Tak of India and Samaa TV of Pakistan.

Former veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was also a part of the discussion before the match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

During the show, Afridi made a statement that really triggered the Indian cricket fans but an Indian journalist of Aaj Tak and Harbhajan Singh laughed at that joke delivered by Afridi.

Basically, Afridi made fun of former veteran Indian opener Gautam Gambhir,

“Fans talk about any kind of fight between me and Gambhir, I really don’t think so. It is because even many players of the Indian team don’t like Gautam Gambhir,” said Afridi in his statement.

Aajtak’s anchor who was sitting alongside Harbhajan Singh laughed at this joke. Although this reaction from the veteran sports journalist and even Harbhajan didn’t go down well with the Indian cricket fans. They lashed out at the senior journalist and former off-spinner too. Fans went on to say that these TV journalists can do anything just for the sake of meager TRP.

Coming back to the Afridi-Gambhir row, then it all started 15 years back in the year 2007 when India and Pakistan were playing an ODI match against each other. Gambhi and Afridi were involved in a heated argument during that match while India was batting. Since then, the fans keep speculating about any rift between the two.
