Star Chennai opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has amazed everyone with his sensational knock in the ongoing tournament opener of the Indian T20 League against Gujarat. But later on, it was Ruturaj who single-handedly tried to manage things with his bat. He completed his half-century only on 23 balls. The Maharashtra batter didn’t leave any of the Gujarat bowlers without hitting him out of the boundary ropes.

The cricket fans were also elated and ecstatic following this swashbuckling batting display by the 26-year-old in the tournament opener of the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League. They immediately took to Twitter to shower the praises on the blistering right-hander for a special knock and first half-century of the 2023 edition.

Speaking of the ongoing action of the match at the moment, Chennai have scored 121 runs for the loss of four wickets. Senior batter Ambati Rayudu just fell prey to Josh Little on the fifth ball of the 13th over before the strategic time-out was called by the umpires.
