The former captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Virat Kohli has been enduring the worst phase in his cricketing career. Virat Kohli hasn’t scored a single century in any format of the game for more than 2 years now.

In the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League, he has gotten out twice on the first ball he faced, besides getting run-out twice. Kohli’s scores in the ongoing competition read: 41*, 12, 5, 48, 1, 12, 0,0, and 9.

Looking at his body language in the current games, you could see that he is lacking confidence. Things are certainly not going his way. As if reports are to be believed, the selectors are contemplating his position in India’s T20 team.

“He is a great servant of Indian cricket. But his form from some time is a huge concern now for the national selectors and BCCI”, said a BCCI official.

“See we don’t intervene in the selection matters. Selectors have to take call on Virat and others. We can’t give our judgment to them. Obviously, they are concerned about what is happening to him”, added the official

Virat Kohli stepped down as Bangalore’s captain at the end of the last season’s Indian T20 League tournament. Later, he also stepped down from India’s T20 captaincy and quit Test captaincy. He took those decisions in a bid to manage his workload. However, it hasn’t worked out well for him.

Virat Kohli is struggling badly with the bat. Playing for Bangalore, Kohli has scored only 128 runs in 9 matches in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League. In the last game against Rajasthan, he was promoted to open the innings but that didn’t work out as well.

The former Bangalore skipper got out after scoring 9 runs in 10 balls. Prior to that, he got out twice on the first ball he faced without even opening his account. One shouldn’t get surprised if Bangalore decide to give him rest for the next game.
