Shubman Gill is currently busy playing for Gujarat Titans (GT) in the ongoing IPL. However, he was in action on 7 May 2023 as GT locked horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Ahmedabad. Hardik Pandya and his men won the match by 56 runs and Shubman Gill won the Player of the Match award.

Gill scored 94* runs off 51 balls as it helped GT to score 227 runs for just two wickets in 20 overs. After that, it was their bowlers who restricted LSG to 171 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. But, on 8 May, an update surprised all fans as Shubman Gill is all set to dub the voice of Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar in the upcoming movie ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.’

The second part of the movie ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.’ is going to release on 2 June 2023 in India. However, there will be a character named Pavitr Prabhakar who will be the Indian Spider-Man. So, the GT opener will dub the voice for the character in Hindi and Punjabi language. Speaking about Gill, he has been enjoying a good season so far in IPL 2023 with the bat. In 11 matches, he has scored 469 runs at an average of 46.90. His strike rate has been 143.43 so far in the tournament. He is currently in the sixth position in the race for the Orange Cap this year.

After winning the Player of the Match award against LSG, Gill said: “Not technically an easy day as they did well in the powerplay. But Mohit and the bowlers did well to restrict them. Saha is fantastic to bat with and have a bond. He's played from the first season, the way he maintains fitness and offers company is phenomenal. It was important for me to wait for the opportunity, control yourself and not get carried away. Before this match, I think I hadn't scored a six in the last two games and this time I didn't hit a four till the 17th over so I try to keep working on my skills.”
