The 24-year-old Up-based young bowler from Uttar Pradesh, Kartikeya Singh’s story has emerged as a very emotional and interesting tale for cricket fans. Mumbai picked young spinner and five-times champions Mumbai Indians. Although, he made his debut in the Indian T20 League and impressed everyone.

Earlier, the 24-year-old couldn’t make it to any team in the Indian T20 League. But Arshad Khan’s injury helped Kartikeya to capitalize on this chance for him. Later on, the young pacer also registered his name in the playing XI of the team.

Fans also appreciated the young lad’s sacrifice and patience for this long time. They also took to Twitter for praising him. His coach and Guru Sanjay Bharadwaj have also talked about his journey.

“When the cook gave him lunch, Kartikeya began to cry: he hadn't eaten lunch for a year,” said Bharadwaj to ESPN Cricinfo.

Speaking of Karthik’s domestic career, then he has bowled amazing in his appearances in 22 innings of 12 matches by achieving 55 wickets with an average of 21.29 and best figures of six wickets in an inning for 28 runs.

Apart from this, he has also scalped 18 wickets in 19 List-A matches with best figures of three wickets for 28 runs in a match.
