Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant met a horrific accident last month at the Narsan Border on Delhi-Dehradun Highway last month on the 30th of December 2022. He was immediately rushed to the nearest Saksham Hospital in Roorkee before moving on to Max Hospital of Dehradun and then AIIMS Rishikesh.
“Rishabh Pant will not be available for the IPL. I am in connection with DC. It will be a great IPL. We will do well. Rishabh Pant’s Injury will affect DC,” said Ganguly in an interaction with the reporters in Kolkata.
Later on, Sourav Ganguly was on the receiving end of trolls from the cricket fans as they said the former had stated what was very obvious after the accident of Rishabh Pant. The fans took to Twitter to accuse Ganguly of trying to be in the limelight for unnecessary reasons.
Here’s how fans reacted statement of Sourav Ganguly on Rishabh Pant’s comeback:

Earlier, an Indian Cricket Board source also informed us about the developments in the recovery of Rishabh Pant.
“Rishabh Pant has successfully undergone knee ligament surgery on Friday. He will be under observation. Further course of action and rehabilitation will be advised by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala and followed by the BCCI sports science and medicine team,” said an Indian Cricket Board source to PTI.
Talking about the Indian team, Rohit Sharma’s men are currently in action against Sri Lanka in the ongoing three-match ODI series. The men in blue have already taken a lead of 1-0 in the three-match series after a convincing win in the first ODI at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
Coming back to Rishabh Pant, it might take 6-7 months for him to recover and make a comeback in international cricket as per the medical reports and the updates from the doctors who are looking after his case in the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.
