In a shocking and disappointing piece of news for Delhi fans in the Indian T20 League, skipper Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the entire season of the tournament’s 2023 edition. Notably, Pant met a horrific accident last month on the 30th of December near the Narsan Border on Delhi-Dehradun Highway which led him to multiple injuries.

He was immediately rushed to the nearest Saksham Hospital of Roorkee from where he was referred to Max Hospital, Dehradun, and AIIMS, Rishikesh before being airlifted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital.

Coming back to the news of Rishabh Pant being ruled out of the Indian T20 League 2023, Sourav Ganguly confirmed the 25-year-old’s unavailability in the cash-rich Indian T20 tournament.

“Rishabh Pant will not be available for the IPL. I am in connection with DC. It will be a great IPL. We will do well. Rishabh Pant’s Injury will affect DC,” said Ganguly in an interaction with the reporters in Kolkata.

This news has left the fans shocked and struck with various reactions. The ardent fans of Delhi and the star Indian southpaw took to Twitter to express their disappointment. Subsequently, the fans also wished a speedy recovery for Rishabh Pant from the injuries that he sustained during the accident.

Earlier, an Indian Cricket Board source also informed us about the developments in the recovery of Rishabh Pant.

“Rishabh Pant has successfully undergone knee ligament surgery on Friday. He will be under observation. Further course of action and rehabilitation will be advised by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala and followed by the BCCI sports science and medicine team," said an Indian Cricket Board source to PTI.

Currently, the Indian team is in action against Sri Lanka in the ongoing three-match ODI series in which the former has taken a lead of 1-0 after a win of 67 runs in the first ODI.
