Rohit Sharma could not control his anger and threw the cap after seeing the dismissal of Sarfaraz Khan in the first innings of the third Test against England. The Indian captain had a brilliant day in the middle as a batter but hoped the same for the debutant. While the middle-order batter was impressive in the first innings, he was dismissed in an unfortunate run out.

Rohit, who was in the dressing room, could not fathom the dismissal. The Indian captain was angry at Ravindra Jadeja who was in a way responsible for the dismissal of the 26-year-old. It meant that the impressive innings of the middle-order batter were cut short by some margin. On his debut, Sarfaraz created a scare among the bowlers who found it difficult to bowl to him.

Khan was brilliant with his sweep shots. The right-handed batter showed no weakness in the innings as he swept the spinners with no disdain. The star batter scored 62 runs in 66 balls before getting dismissed. The innings of the Mumbai batter included six and 9 fours. The Mumbai batter became responsible for India ending the first day at Rajkot on a good note.
Ravindra Jadeja responsible for Sarfaraz Khan's dismissal?
As James Anderson bowled a good length delivery to Jadeja, the 35-year-old tried to guide it towards the mid-on region. The ball went straight to Mark Wood who was about a couple of steps ahead than usual. While Jadeja called for the run initially, he realized that Wood was a bit too quick on getting close to the ball. The Southpaw sent Sarfaraz Khan back and denied the run midway.
Wood inflicted the direct hit which hit the bullseye without missing the target. Khan was devastated by the dismissal. So was Rohit Sharma who was animated and threw away the cap with frustration. Sarfaraz’s parents who were in the stadium were sad as well. The dismissal of Khan led to criticism of Jadeja. The fans have claimed Jadeja to be selfish in his approach towards Khan.
