But why it happened all of a sudden if Dinesh Karthik was selected in the playing XI of the match?

Apart from the blows in the match, the Indian camp has also faced a recent blow as senior wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has been forced to leave the field due to a muscle while carrying a bouncer. Following the incident, the physio had to rush toward the field to assist the 37-year-old.

Speaking of the match so far, the Indians are now defending the not-much-decent total of 134 runs. Suryakumar Yadav has been the only Indian batter to end up as the leading run-scorer for his team with his brilliant knock of 68 runs off just 40 balls with six boundaries and three maximums to his name.

Lungi Ngidi stunned and impressed everyone with his stellar bowling performance in the match by scalping four wickets conceding 29 runs in his quota of four overs.

While chasing the target, South Africa has scored 122 runs for the loss of four wickets in 17.3 overs at the time of filling this copy. Aiden Markram and David Miller are there in the middle with knocks of 52 and 47 runs respectively.
