However, only the best make it to the playoffs. The teams that display the temperament of the highest order are the ones who make it to the second stage of the tournament. Today, we shall be predicting the four teams that can reach the playoffs of the Indian T20 League 2022.

1) Chennai:

Chennai have a knack for reaching the playoffs. Barring the 2020 edition, they have made it to the top four every time they have played. Besides, they have a superb team as well.

While the regulars like MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja are expected to be at their best, they have been boosted by the likes of Devon Conway and Chris Jordan.

Moreover, their side consists of several veterans, who know how to handle the added pressure. The mixture of experience and youth can prove to be handy for the defending champions.

2) Rajasthan:

Rajasthan have formed a formidable team this time around. Contrary to their general norm, they have formed a superb core of Indian players as well. First things first, they have two world-class spinners in the form of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal.

They acquired the services of a top-class pacer in the form of Trent Boult. As far as their batting is concerned, they have power-hitters in the form of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer. It is safe to say that they have almost all their bases covered.

Delhi have one of the strongest sides on paper. Not only did they retain their proven match-winners, but they also manage to purchase many established players during the mega auction. For starters, they now have the Aussie duo of David Warner and Mitchell Marsh.

The Pant-led side have a superb lower-middle order as well. However, it is their bowling that makes them better than the rest. The likes of Anrich Nortje, Mustafizur Rahman and Shardul Thakur are expected to trouble the opposition batters.

4) Lucknow:

It wouldn't be surprising if this new team ends up winning the title in their debut season itself. It is safe to say that Lucknow were absolutely sensational during the mega auction. They managed to buy some superb T20 specialists.

However, the USP of their side is the all-rounders. Their side boasts of several match-winning all-rounders like Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya. Besides they have two express pacers in the form of Mark Wood and Avesh Khan.
