In the latest development in the probe, the Muzaffarnagar police have arrested two more accuses who are allegedly involved in the robbery and multiple murders of the relatives of Suresh Raina, the former Indian cricketer. Three accused individuals were arrested by Police two years back in September 2020, one more member who was involved in this heinous crime was nabbed in the month of July last year.

Recalling the incident, then all accused criminals intruded into the house of Raina’s relative in Punjab’s city of Pathankot. After the intrusion, they went on to assault and thrash the family before robbing the valuables and cash available there in the house.

The 35-year-old’s uncle and his cousin got a series of wounds and they fell prey to death due to the multiple injuries in the body.

Both culprits confessed their involvement in the crime

The two criminals arrested by the UP Police in the ongoing probe of the case, are Talib and Shahzan. The Times of India has learned that both of the culprits have accepted their involvement in the Murder case that happened at Pathankot.

It all happened on the night of the 19th and 20th of August two years back in the year 2020. Ashok Kumar, who died on the spot was a contractor by profession and Raina’s uncle in a relationship. Later on, on the 31st of August, his son Kaushal also breathed last due to the injuries and multiple organ failures in the body.

Suresh Raina was with the Chennai franchise team in the 2020 edition of the Indian T20 League. He had to pull out from the tournament which was shifted to UAE due to the Covid-19 outbreak in India.

Expressing his deep sorrow and angst on this terrible incident, Raina took to Twitter for urging then Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh to take immediate action in the same incident.
