India are gearing up to take on Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The grand final will take place at the Oval from 7-11 June. So, both teams are preparing hard to put on a good show for their teams and fans. However, it will be another big occasion where Team India are not going to get the services of their prime fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.

Bumrah last played for the Men in Blue in September 2022. After that, due to injury, he has failed to make a comeback so far. As a result, Bumrah also missed the recently concluded IPL for Mumbai Indians (MI). Meanwhile, his wife, Sanjana Ganesan has already reached the Oval and she shared an update of the ground with an image of it on her Instagram story. She seemed to be there for her professionalism as a TV presenter.

Jasprit Bumrah played the WTC 2021 final against New Zealand

Seeing the story, fans came up and shared some funny tweets about her husband in replies. Jasprit Bumrah was a part of Team India that took on New Zealand in the final of WTC 2021 final. However, India lost that match and it was a horrible outing for the pacer. In both innings, he failed to take a single wicket despite conceding 92 runs in 36.4 overs. In his absence, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj will lead the pace bowling unit along with Jaydev Unadkat, and Umesh Yadav.

However, it will be interesting to see how many pacers, Team India go out to face the Aussie from 7 June. Speaking of this mega clash, in a recently shared video by the Indian Cricket Board, skipper Rohit Sharma said: “To be standing here knowing that we've qualified for the finals feels really, really great. The boys are really happy about it because all that effort that we put in for the last two years finally has come to the fore. Obviously, the job is not done. We have to go out there and get the best result for us in the final.”
