‘Paisa pohoch jayega tere hotel mein’ - Fans react to viral image of David Warner having chat with Gautam Gambhir post Lucknow vs Delhi game in ITL 2023

On 1 April 2023, the Lucknow franchise kicked off their Indian T20 League 2023 campaign at the Ekana cricket stadium against Delhi. David Warner was leading the Delhi side as Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the tournament. Meanwhile, KL Rahul and his men managed a winning start as they defeated Delhi by 50 runs.

It was a disappointing loss for Warner and his men. The Aussie batter scored a fifty but the strike rate was the main issue. However, after the match, David Warner was seen having a chat with the global mentor of Lucknow, Gautam Gambhir. David Warner scored 56 runs off 48 balls against Lucknow

Speaking of the match, David Warner won the toss and asked the home side to bat first. While batting first, Lucknow scored 193 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Kyle Mayers scored 73 runs off 38 balls, including two fours and seven sixes. Along with him, Ayush Badoni scored 18 runs off seven balls. The poor form of KL Rahul continued as he scored only eight runs off 12 balls. For Delhi, Khaleel Ahmed and Chetan Sakariya took two wickets each while Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav grabbed one scalp each.

For Delhi, Warner scored 56 runs off 48 balls, including seven fours. Then, Rilee Rossouw scored 30 runs off 20 balls, including three fours and one six. Apart from them, no other batters managed to score big as they scored 143 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Mark Wood was the star of the show as he picked up five wickets for 14 runs in four overs. Delhi batters looked clueless against his fiery spell. Apart from him, Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets each. Wood also won the player of the match award and Lucknow defeated Delhi by 50 runs.
