On 14 May 2023, day three of the ‘Olympia D20’ tournament happened in Greece. Pacific Stars were looking to continue their winning momentum. DGTX Strikers were still looking to open their account with some better performances. However, both the Strikers and Toyam Warriors had two games each on day three.
Here is the result of three matches on day three of the Olympia D20 tournament:
Match 1: Pacific Stars vs Toyam Warriors
Pacific Stars won the toss and opted to bat. While batting first, they scored 178 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. But, in reply, Toyam Warriors got bundled out for 99 runs in 18 overs. Thus, the Stars won the match by 79 runs. Stars’ Talha Muhammad won the Player of the Match award for scoring 32 runs off 21 balls, including three fours and one six. With the ball also, he took three wickets for two wickets in two overs. Thus, Stars managed to win all four games so far in the tournament. They are in the top spot with 12 points with a run rate of +2.743.
Match 2: USC Blasters vs DGTX Strikers
DGTX Strikers won the toss and opted to bat first. While batting first, they got bundled out for 101 runs in 18.2 overs. In reply, the Blasters scored 102 runs for two wickets in 16.1 overs. Thus, USC Blasters won the match with eight wickets and 23 balls to spare. Blasters’ Husnain Tariq won the Player of the Match award for taking three wickets for 12 runs in his four overs.
Match 3: Toyam Warriors vs DGTX Strikers
Toyam Warriors won the toss and opted to field first. While batting first, the strikers scored 127 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Warriors got bundled out for 97 runs in 19.1 overs. Thus, DGTX Strikers registered their first win of the tournament and they won the game by 30 runs. Strikers’ Shabi Ul Hassan won the Player of the Match award for taking four wickets for 14 runs in four overs while scoring eight runs off seven balls, including one six.
