Umpires are an essential part of a Cricket game as they are the main decision-makers regarding a dismissal. Recently, a video has gone viral where an umpire was seen giving an out decision in a funny way. The batter tried to play the pull shot but failed and the wicketkeeper caught the ball.

Then, the bowler appealed for caught behind but the umpire did not show any interest. The bowler thought that the umpire has ruled out the decision and went back for the run-up for the next delivery. But, just before his next delivery, the umpire raised the finger in slow-motion and stunned all the players. Fans also went crazy and shared their views on social media.

Speaking about the video, some fans also compared the umpire with Nitin Menon. He is currently busy officiating in the ongoing BGT series against the Aussies. But, fans criticized him a lot when he got involved in a controversial decision against Virat Kohli. The incident took place during the 50th over of India’s innings. Debutant Matthew Kuhnemann was bowling. On the third delivery of that over, Kohli went for a front-foot defense.

But, the ball hit the pads and the Aussies went for a loud appeal. Umpire Nitin Menon gave him out and Kohli went for a review. During the replay, it was seen that the ball might have hit both the pad and bat at the same time. But, the third umpire, Richard Illingworth did not overturn the decision and thus, Kohli got out. So, fans were not happy with such a decision and slammed him on social media. They also were not happy that Menon will officiate again in the upcoming three-match ODI series against the Aussies.
