Marcus Stoinis is getting ready for the Indian T20 League 2023 for the Lucknow franchise. He recently played in the three-match ODI series against India. Recently, he joined the franchise on 29 March. Last year, he played a crucial role as Lucknow lost in the eliminator against the Bangalore franchise.

Now, ahead of the tournament, Marcus Stoinis was seen wishing ‘Happy Ram Navami’ with the ‘Jai Sree Ram’ slogan, and that video has gone viral. Seeing that video, fans came up with some funny tweets on the social media platform. On 30 March 2023, the whole of India is celebrating ‘Ram Navami’.

In the last edition of the tournament, Marcus Stoinis scored 156 runs in 11 matches while grabbing just four wickets. His average was at just 19.50 while the strike rate was at 147.17. Stoinis recently was a part of Australia who won the bilateral ODI series against India by 2-1. In that series, the star Aussie all-rounder scored 30 runs and took three wickets with the ball. After getting him into the team in 2022, the global mentor of the franchise, Gautam Gambhir said that his inclusion can give any team a good balance. He claimed that Stoinis can play the finisher's role to perfection.

“After Ben Stokes, who is likely to stay away from Indian T20 League this season, Stoinis is the complete package. He can bat, and bowl, and is one of the best fielders. I think his addition is good news for the team. We have seen him perform in the 20-20 World Cup. He can win matches single-handedly,” Gambhir said on Star Sports. As of now, in this tournament, Stoinis has played 67 matches. In those games, he scored 1070 runs while taking 34 wickets. So, fans will hope for more all-round performances this year around from the star Aussie player.
