KL Rahul is getting ready for the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League in 2023. He will be seen in action as Rahul is going to lead the Lucknow franchise. At the first attempt in the last edition, they finished third after the group stage with nine wins out of 14 games. Lucknow lost against Bangalore in the eliminator.

However, the last few months have been very tough for KL Rahul based on his performance for team India across all three formats. So, he will look for a great season this time around both as a skipper and batter. Now, an image has gone viral where Rahul was sitting and having chat with all of his teammates at the Ekana stadium, in Lucknow.

Seeing that image, fans went crazy and shared their views on the social media platform. KL Rahul and his men will kick off their season on 1 April against the Delhi franchise at their home ground. However, Gautam Gambhir hailed Rahul after their recent jersey launch event recently. The global mentor of the franchise said: "We are very fortunate to have someone like KL Rahul, who has a very stable and balanced head. I wish I had it, I did not have that. I was very extreme, but it did work for me.” 

“For a franchise like Lucknow, it is important to have someone like KL at the helm. Going forward, this is going to be a massive positive for us. The captain is the flag bearer of the team. It is the captain's team. All of us in the dressing room are there to support him. No support staff is under as much pressure as the captain. It is the body language of the captain that will decide how we perform," Gambhir concluded. As a batter, KL Rahul has crossed 500 runs in an Indian T20 League season for the fifth consecutive time in 2022. But, his strike rate has been an issue for fans as they have always slammed him over the same.
