It is safe to say that the mega auction for the fifteenth edition of the Indian T20 league was a successful one. Several world-class players went under the hammer, and managed to earn the big bucks. In fact, there are a few individuals who ended up making a fortune. Today, we shall be taking a look at the top five players who earned most money.

1) Ishan Kishan- 15.25 crore

After an intense bidding war, Mumbai managed to buy back Ishan Kishan. They had to spend INR 15.25 crore to acquire his services. When it comes to the toughest 20, the keeper-batter has scored 1452 runs in 56 games at an average of 28.47

2) Deepak Chahar- INR 14 crore

Like Kishan, even Deepak Chahar went back to his previous franchise. Chennai managed to buy him at a whopping amount of INR 14 crore. It is to be noted that this is the first time the defending champions have spent more than INR 10 crore on an individual during an auction. The all-rounder has taken 59 wickets in the Indian T20 league. He has also improved his batting leaps and bounds.

3) Shreyas Iyer- INR 12.25 crore

Before the mega auction, Shreyas Iyer was the most hyped player. Several teams had their eyes on him. However, at the end, Kolkata managed to purchase him. In all likelihood, he is all set to lead the franchise as well.

4) Liam Livingstone - INR 12.25 crore

On the second day of the mega auction, several teams went all out for Liam Livingstone. At the end, it was Punjab who got him for INR 11.25 crore. Thus, the all-rounder went on to become the most expensive overseas player of this auction. Not only can he play the big shots, but he can also bowl as well.

5) Harshal Patel- INR 10.75 crore

The MVP of the 2021 edition attracted a lot of bids for him. However, his previous franchise, i.e. Bangalore, got him back for a hefty amount of INR 10.75 crore. With this, the Bangalore-based franchise have got a superb death bowler. Besides, he can bat as well.
