Mega auction day 2: List of players of sold and unsold after Round 2

Like the first round, the second round of the mega auction on Sunday saw a lot of exciting action. Although, the bids were slightly low, a lot of teams ended up getting good deals. This round was all about utility.

It was the Indian bowlers who were in huge demand this time around. Several pacers from the country managed to get good deals. However, a few Sri Lankan bowlers bagged a contract as well. After a bidding war, Lucknow managed to get Dushmanta Chameera for INR 2 crore.

Post which, Chennai purchased Maheesh Theekshana for INR 70 lakh. Thus, he became their third overseas player. In the meanwhile, Khaleel Ahmed bagged an INR 5.25 crore contract with Delhi. There was a huge bidding battle for him between the Pant-led side and Mumbai.

In what turned out to be an absolute steal deal, Punjab got Sandeep Sharma for his base price, i.e. INR 50 lakh. However, Chetan Sakariya saw several bids for himself. At a base price of INR 50 lakh, teams such as Bangalore, Punjab, Rajasthan and Delhi engaged in a bidding war. At the end, Delhi acquired his services for INR 4.2 crore.

On the other hand, Navdeep Saini was bought by Rajasthan for INR 2.6 crore. Jaydev Unadkat, who was the most expensive player in 2019, saw two of the most successful teams bid for him. However, it was Mumbai who ended up getting him for INR 1.3 crore.

Mayank Markande will now be seen representing his first franchise as Mumbai got him for INR 65 lakh. Shabaz Nadeem was then purchased by Lucknow for his base price. Rinku Singh then returned to Kolkata. Last but not the least, Mannan Vohra was again purchased at his base price by Lucknow. In the meanwhile, several big names like Ishant Sharma, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Tabraiz Shamsi went unsold.
