Indian youngster Sarfaraz Khan takes an outstanding catch to shock the fans during the India vs England 2024 Test match in Ranchi on Sunday to dismiss Tom Hartley.

Team India came back into the Ranchi Test in fine fashion during the day three of the 4th Test. England was bowled out for 145 with an overall lead of 191 to give India a huge chance to win the game. Rohit Sharma and his side will look to seal the game and the series with one game left in the series.

Sarfaraz Khan who made his debut for India in the previous game impressed everyone with the bat. The 26-year-old failed to deliver with the bat during the first innings of the current. He more than made amends when he was fielding during the third day of the game.

Tom Hartley since his debut has frustrated the Indian bowlers with his batting. The 24-year-old looked like doing the same again on Sunday. Kuldeep Yadav who was going through a dream spell tossed the ball up. Hartley went for a huge hit but didn’t time the ball well. Sarfaraz Khan dived in front and took a great catch and turned back to blow a kiss to the fans. 

India set a target of 192 to win – 

England were bowled out for 145 to leave Sarfaraz Khan and India to chase 192 to win. Ravichandran Ashwin picked yet another five-wicket haul in his Test career. The Indian bowlers didn’t let the English batters settle down as they showed their might.

The veteran Indian spinner began with the wicket of Ben Duckett for 15. The next ball, Ollie Pope was out LBW as the ball began to keep low. Zak Crawley and Joe Root then added 46 runs for the third wicket before Ashwin dismissed Root to grab his 3rd scalp. 

Opener Zak Crawley didn’t look bothered as he scored yet another fifty during the series. Kuldeep Yadav got the ball to turn back in sharply to dismiss Crawley for 60. Jonny Bairstow fell first ball after the Tea break for 28. 

Kuldeep Yadav then struck with three wickets in quick time including Ben Stokes and Ollie Robinson. Ben Foakes tried to fight for his team but fell when he gave Ashwin an easy return catch for 17. Last man James Anderson was caught well by Dhruv Jurel to give Ashwin his 5th wicket.
