Manoj Tiwari shares a heart-warming note after reaching his century in Ranji Trophy semi-final

Manoj Tiwari and Shahbaz Ahmed shared a 187-run stand to help Bengal comeback in the semi-final match against Madhya Pradesh.

Bengal Cricket, Manoj Tiwari notched a crucial century in the ongoing semi-final between Madhya Pradesh and Bengal and celebrated that in the most adorable way on Thursday at KSCA Cricket Ground in Alur.

For the unversed, 1st Semi-Final of the Ranji Trophy 2021-22 is currently being played between Madhya Pradesh and Bengal. Batting first, Madhya Pradesh had notched 341 runs at the end of the first innings. Himanshu Mantri starred with the bat, playing a sensational knock of 165 runs in 327 balls.

In reply, Bengal were left in all sorts of trouble as they had lost 5 wickets for just 54 runs. However, Shahbaz Ahmed and Manoj Tiwari then joined forces and led an outstanding recovery. The duo added 187 runs for the fifth wicket and helped the team make a comeback in the match.

Manoj Tiwari notched a sensational century and it came at a very crucial stage in the game. Upon reaching his century, Tiwari celebrated his ton in the most adorable way possible. He raised a special note, which depicted love towards his family members.

Manoj Tiwari got out after scoring 102 runs in 211 balls, including 12 fours. His ally, Shahbaz Ahmed too went on to score a century. He also played a sensational knock of 116 runs in 209 balls, including 12 fours. Thanks to those valuable contributions, Bengal reached 273 runs before getting bundled out. Given the start that Bengal had, they would be happy that they only conceded a 68-run lead at the end of the second innings.

At the time of writing, Madhya Pradesh have lost 1 wicket for 24 runs in the third innings. They currently lead by 92 runs in the second session of Day 3. Mukesh Kumar has taken the solitary wicket so far. He has conceded 7 runs for 1 wicket in his 5 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed has bowled only 1 over so far and has conceded 3 runs.
