Rohit Sharma is currently having a vacation with his wife and daughter. Recently, he suffered a loss in the World Test Championship (WTC) final as Australia defeated India by 209 runs at the Oval. Hence, it was another failure for the Team India skipper after failing to win both the Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup in 2022.

India’s next assignment is in West Indies where they will play a full-fledged tour. Some reports have already come out that after the two-match Test series in West Indies, Rohit might look for a chat with the Indian Cricket Board officials over the Test captaincy future. Now, he came up with a new image on his Instagram account and after seeing that fans shared some funny replies.

Rohit shared the image with a caption: “Evening walk aesthetics.” However, while having a chat in RevSportz,  the former Aussie skipper, Michael Clarke said that fans should keep faith in Rohit’s captaincy despite such recent failures. He said: “I would be keeping the faith with Rohit. I think he is a very good captain. I like his aggressive approach, he looks to be as positive as he can be. He has had a lot of success as a leader. Look at his IPL record for Mumbai (Indians).” 

“Just because India didn’t win the Test World Championship doesn’t mean Rohit is not the right guy to lead India. The fact that India qualified again, they are the only team to make consecutive finals, says a lot about how they have played their Test cricket over the past four years. It is also a very important time for stability with the One-Day World Cup right around the corner. Losing a one-off final doesn’t make him a bad captain, nor does it make India a bad team. To make consecutive finals isn’t easy. What it means is that India was the only team to play consistently well over a period of four years,” he further added.
